This was probably my first time really experiencing all of what New York City has to offer me shopping wise...I shopped everywhere from Century 21, to Topshop, to the street vendors in the Village all the while loving every minute of it...What do you all think??

Lazy Day

Because I hate being uncomfortable when I shop I went extra casual this weekend. I ventured downtown and can I just say that the new F21 on F Street (go figure) is fabulous! I've never shopped in such a party-like atmosphere.

I hope everyone's weekend was as relaxing as mine-caught up on some sleep and with some friends. Expectantly, the weekend is a good indication of how well the week will go :).

All the stores having crazy sales to get ready for the Fall merchandise aren't helping my pockets, then again recognizing that this entire outfit (excluding the bag) was about $65, eases the guilt. After all, the pants were on sale for $10!!

I loved the black top worn here so much that when I saw the white one in my size I jumped at the chance to get it. I'll post the pics of the other newbies later.

My friend is in town from NYC again this weekend, so I'll have plenty of pics to post by weekends end, Happy Friday!

This weekend didn't go quite as planned...It rained Saturday, meaning no strolling around DC, and my friend Chanel surprised me for her birthday (I know, a little backwards)! Needless to say an itinerary was made and it was just like old times. She had a great time bringing in her 22nd year, and we had another successful night out on the town.

I finally ordered the Addison wedges from Topshop and am impatiently awaiting their arrival. I've even started piecing together outfits to wear with them. I can't wait!!!

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but when dressing in temperatures such as these, I am just as lazy as a Summer day. As far as I'm concerned, it's too hot to put much thought into anything but keeping cool. Jeans and a loose top are my seasonal go to when all else fails.

I'm off to bed early tonight in preparation for a big day if sightseeing in our Nation's Capital tomorrow morning. Have a great weekend!

The Fireworks on the National Mall are the best by far. It was worth the hours of waiting, crowding, and pushing on the metro for a fireworks show that happens once a year for half an hour, and the three day weekend was the icing on the cake.

I didn't realize until after I dressed how festive I looked! Red, white, & black is close enough!

I love wearing traditional outfits with a twist, especially professional clothing. A typical white button down with tailored pants can take many forms.

I had yet than another interview today, and I'm starting to realize that the experience I'm getting from each one is helping me become a better interviewee. My nerves have subsided until about the time I walk through the door now-I've come along way from being so nervous I can't sleep the night before. It's always nice to break up the week and do something unexpected as not to fall into a monotonous pattern, so after my interview I walked around Georgetown for a few hours and bought an army inspired top from Zara (yes, only one item, I was being good today) that I will post later in the week. Since a lot of my time is spent job hunting, and soon enough will be spent working (hopefully), I will be posting some professional looks more often. I wore this to my second interview with a company yesterday. Not very traditional, but I was told to dress more casual, and this was my version.

Last night was a bit of an adventure. Whenever I go out I unexpectedly run into old friends and associates I haven't seen in years, which leads to catching up, and somehow, a ball of random actions occur. I went to Dave & Busters for a friends birthday and by nights end was at TGI Friday's. It was a good time nonetheless, and at the end of the day that's all that really matters.

A friend and I are going on a double date tonight at the 4 Seasons downtown...I'm not one for blind dates but I'll do almost anything for a friend. Wish me luck!

I took my brothers to see Shrek 4 in 3D yesterday and LOVED IT! I don't get to spend much time with them because we're all so different in age, but the seldom times we do spend together we always have a good time :).

I picked up these hair bands from H&M while in Atlanta and almost forgot to post them because I've been wearing them so much. While looking through some old jewelry I came across a few old earrings and necklaces I haven't worn in years and added the charms to bands, and walla!

I've been all over the place these past few weeks-Atlanta, Hampton, Maryland, and New York. Pictures will be up shortly!

I always miss my room when I'm away at school. Don't get me wrong, I love my apartment and my roommates, but there is something about home that has a certain comfort that my apartment just doesn't provide. It feels good to be with my family for the Easter weekend and I'm hoping I can get some shopping out of my parents while I'm here too. Yes, I know ulterior motives for personal gain aren't too honorable, but why not do it for the name of fashion?

3 days of straight rain later...the sun has finally returned and i'm more than excited that the week of weather ahead is straight 70s :-).

My senior ball is the week after next, and though I have a gorgeous dress I have nothing else to go with it. How should I wear my hair? What shoes? Clutch? Earrings? ::sigh:: I'm headed home for the Easter weekend and will hopefully find the accessories I need so desperately.

It's been months since my friends and I have had a Sunday dinner. What used to be a weekly tradition has turned into a rare holiday type of occasion, but this week is a call for celebration because I'm welcoming my friend Dani to the blogging world! After months of nagging and convincing, I was glad to find that my efforts hadn't gone unnoticed. Her constant supply of delicious home cooked meals is what most college students dream of, especially considering the cafeteria food on campus (yuck!), so why not blog about it?
