Modern Day Armor

Photobucket
Rings:Claire's & Icing by Claire's; Polish:Deal with the Devil by Ruby Kisses

As you all know I'm a big fan of funky rings...so it's no surprise that I fell in love with these. I actually saw a pricier version of the rhinestone knuckle ring when I was at UO, so I consider myself very lucky. What do you think???

Career Chic:Not So Average

White button down:BCBG; Tailored dress pants:H&M; Belt: old; Oxfords:Michael Khors; Gold studs:Anthropologie; Bracelet:Gift; Polish:NYX-Las Vegas

I love wearing traditional outfits with a twist, especially professional clothing. A typical white button down with tailored pants can take many forms.

I had yet than another interview today, and I'm starting to realize that the experience I'm getting from each one is helping me become a better interviewee. My nerves have subsided until about the time I walk through the door now-I've come along way from being so nervous I can't sleep the night before. It's always nice to break up the week and do something unexpected as not to fall into a monotonous pattern, so after my interview I walked around Georgetown for a few hours and bought an army inspired top from Zara (yes, only one item, I was being good today) that I will post later in the week. Happy Hump Day!

Popcorn, Polish & Pay-Per-View

Photobucket
Polish:Essie-Mint Candy Apple

When I woke up this morning I had every intention of going out tonight, but after painting my basement, lunch with some high school friends, & getting my brother and his group off to prom I was pooped! Tropic Thunder is move for tonight (I'm in love with Robert Downey Jr.) & my toes are in need of a new paint job anyway. For those who ventured out tonight, have a drink in my honor, I'll sit this one out ;-).

I always miss my room when I'm away at school. Don't get me wrong, I love my apartment and my roommates, but there is something about home that has a certain comfort that my apartment just doesn't provide. It feels good to be with my family for the Easter weekend and I'm hoping I can get some shopping out of my parents while I'm here too. Yes, I know ulterior motives for personal gain aren't too honorable, but why not do it for the name of fashion?

I went to a cabaret in D.C. over the weekend. . .I'd almost forgotten how good it feels to be "home," and oh how I LOVE the city. It was an interesting, but good, experience to say the least. Dressed up, had some drinks, and danced the night away. What more could a (party) girl ask for?

Striped turtleneck dress: H&M; Blazer: Anthropologie; Tights: Laila Rowe; Oxfords: Michael Khors; Clutch: For Love 21; Necklace: DIY; Earrings: Vintage; Bangles: F21, H&M, Aldo; Rings: F21; Polish: OPI-Big Apple Red

I wore this to my senior social last week. It was at a measly bar downtown but since I hadn't dressed up in a while I decided to go for the kill. I can't seem to get enough of horizontal stripes and blazers these days, and the tights were a nice mix of pattern. I must say though, I'm starting to get an itch for the springtime. . .the weather, the clothes, or lack there of rather ;-). Miami will definitely be a nice change of scenery, to say the least. I'll be in D.C. for the weekend, so look for pictures when I return on Sunday, happy weekend!

Model Pose?

Fur vest:F21; Sequin jacket & Trousers: 2b bebe; striped t-shirt: H&M; Heels: Aldo(old); Studded clutch: For Love 21; Earrings: Vintage; Rings: F21; Polish: OPI-Need Sunglasses

I was forced into doing a photo shoot for a friends class, and I must really love my friends because I consider myself the furthest person from a model. It wasn't half bad, but it was the first and last time I'll even consider doing it again.

Night at the Rodeo

Sweater: Old Navy; Denim button down: thrift; skirt: H&M; tights: old, DIY runs; Tan riding boots: UO; earrings, rings, bracelet: F21; Polish: Sally Hansen-Cinnamon

I went mechanical bull riding over the weekend and I didn't last longer than 30 seconds but it was entertaining nonetheless. I hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did!

Into the Night

Blazer: Zara; Striped t-shirt: H&M; Feather skirt: Bebe; Tights: old; Clutch: F21; Booties (not shown): Steve Madden; Earrings: F21; Leather bracelets: UO and F21; Ring: Old; OPI-Big Apple Red

I had to live it up for my last few nights in the city, considering I'll be deprived from it for the next few months while back at school. I love cold crazy nights out on the town with fun friends (and I'm pretty sure I just created my own tongue twister). Oh how I'll miss the city, though I'm looking forward to my last semester...more
