Back in Time

Blouse:Zara; Wide Leg Jeans:old; Wedges(not seen):Bakers; Earrings:old

I wore this to dinner with my family last night at Crisfield's Seafood, yummy! I'm a big fan of Seafood and little hole's in the wall, big chain restuarants just don't compare.

It's amazing the amount of clothing you collect over the years and forget all about. After cleaning out my closet I felt like I'd been on a shopping spree! I've had these jeans for years and this is probably my third time wearing them, but I will be wearing them more often for sure. They fit so well, and with skinny jeans being so popular, it's nice to change it up every so often. The top I got on sale at Zara last year and is still one of my favorite summer tops to date.

Lazy Day

Because I hate being uncomfortable when I shop I went extra casual this weekend. I ventured downtown and can I just say that the new F21 on F Street (go figure) is fabulous! I've never shopped in such a party-like atmosphere.

I hope everyone's weekend was as relaxing as mine-caught up on some sleep and with some friends. Expectantly, the weekend is a good indication of how well the week will go :).

Food 4 Thought:Match Made in Heaven

Photobucket
Photobucket

Last week I met some friends in Chinatown for a late dinner and some mid week catch up. This vintage pizza bistro has much more to offer than just any old New York style pizza joint. Matchbox puts just as much tang into their Pizza as they do their tasty appetizers and wide array of salads and entrees, not to mention the eccentric atmosphere perfect for date night or getting drinks with the girls. I'm no critic, but at the very least their cream of crab soup is worth going back for. :)

Top & High waisted pants:H&M; Wedges:Steve Madden; Bag:UO; Ring:F21

All the stores having crazy sales to get ready for the Fall merchandise aren't helping my pockets, then again recognizing that this entire outfit (excluding the bag) was about $65, eases the guilt. After all, the pants were on sale for $10!!

I loved the black top worn here so much that when I saw the white one in my size I jumped at the chance to get it. I'll post the pics of the other newbies later.

My friend is in town from NYC again this weekend, so I'll have plenty of pics to post by weekends end, Happy Friday!

I was never a big fan of clogs. . . .until NOW! These are the perfect Summer to Fall boot. Too bad it's just a dream, and will remain so at almost $200.

Dress:Borrowed; Studded Booties: 2B bebe

This weekend didn't go quite as planned...It rained Saturday, meaning no strolling around DC, and my friend Chanel surprised me for her birthday (I know, a little backwards)! Needless to say an itinerary was made and it was just like old times. She had a great time bringing in her 22nd year, and we had another successful night out on the town.

I finally ordered the Addison wedges from Topshop and am impatiently awaiting their arrival. I've even started piecing together outfits to wear with them. I can't wait!!!

Back to Black

Top:H&M; Jeans:F21; Wedges:Steve Madden; Ring&Wrap Bracelets:F21 & UO

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but when dressing in temperatures such as these, I am just as lazy as a Summer day. As far as I'm concerned, it's too hot to put much thought into anything but keeping cool. Jeans and a loose top are my seasonal go to when all else fails.

I'm off to bed early tonight in preparation for a big day if sightseeing in our Nation's Capital tomorrow morning. Have a great weekend!

All I See is Fireworks

Striped top & high waisted polka dot shorts:F21; Sandals:H&M; Bag:Aldo; Necklace:DIY

The Fireworks on the National Mall are the best by far. It was worth the hours of waiting, crowding, and pushing on the metro for a fireworks show that happens once a year for half an hour, and the three day weekend was the icing on the cake.

I didn't realize until after I dressed how festive I looked! Red, white, & black is close enough!

Reporting for Duty

Army inspired top:Zara; White t-shirt:BCBG; High waisted denim shorts&sandals:UO; Sunglasses: Michael Khors; Wrapped bands:DIY; Ring;NYC street vendor

It's been fairly cooler here this week, allowing me to wear the army inspired top I got from Zara a few days ago (on sale!). The only thing missing is some combat boots (it's not that cool) and I'm ready to report for duty on the 4th. What is everyone doing for Independence Day? I'm taking a day trip to the beach tomorrow and having a little shindig at my house after, and of course seeing the fireworks on the mall on Sunday. Have a safe and relaxing Holiday!

iWant:Addison Wedge Ankle Boot

I'm not sure if many people have experience with this, but I go through phases in what I buy. For a long time it was dresses, then swimsuits, and now it's shoes. I've bought three pairs of shoes in the last two weeks (which is a lot for me) and because I NEED these Addison Wedge Ankle Boots from Topshop for Fall...when I get paid next week, buying them will be the first thing I do after rushing home. I just can't help myself, they are a necessity right?

Food 4 Thought:Girl Gone Rogue

Photobucket

If you live in the DC area and haven't eaten at Rogue Burger, as far as I'm concerned you've never had a burger! This is by far THE BEST burger I have ever tasted. It's quite genius actually...instead of simply adding toppings to make the burger fit your palate, it is seasoned to whatever your buds desire. My personal favorite with the house spice blend, chipotle, and fresh cilantro is nothing less than bliss-and they come in turkey burgers too! From an Italian seasoned burger to an Asian tang there is for sure a flavor to make your mouth water....simply try it and I promise you will be in burger heaven.
